Meet Dr Ari Ende

Ari has 20 years’ experience in small animal medicine and surgery, and he is a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in the Small Animal Medicine Chapter. He spent several years working as a Registrar at the University of Sydney Veterinary Teaching Hospital, which provided an invaluable opportunity to refine cutting-edge veterinary techniques.

His experience spans private practice and time as an emergency and critical care vet at VSC (now SASH), a specialist referral hospital that we continue to have a close association with.

As a leading mobile vet doctor, Ari continues to engage in regular professional development to remain at the leading edge of veterinary knowledge… and provide outstanding care for your pets.

The vet your pet would choose

Ari is passionate about quality veterinary care and a caring and comfortable experience for you – and your furry companions. It stems from extensive veterinary expertise… and an absolute love of animals.

Ari understands the huge positive impact pets have in our lives and their reliance on our care for their health and well-being. As a home visit vet, he adores having the chance to play with animals all day. Outside work, Ari and his family frequent many Sydney dog parks with their own animal brood.

Ari and his wife Nicky have two gorgeous girls, Noa-Rose and Amiel and a wonderful little boy, Elijah. They share their lives with three boisterous dogs: Lupe the Groodle, Cora the Bernese mountain dog, and new puppy, Koda the Havanese. They also have an independent and much-loved cat, Harold.

In Ari’s words

“Throughout my years in private practice, I had many requests from elderly or less mobile people to come into their home to help their sick pets that otherwise may not have benefited from appropriate vet care.

I established VETaround so I could bring quality vet care to my patients in the comfort of their own homes.

As a mobile vet in Sydney, I find it’s great to be able to reduce the stress often associated with trips to the vet clinic. Close relations with a local veterinary practice also mean that I can provide hospital treatment for your pets when needed.”

Building quality relationships

VETaround is committed to exceptional pet care, and we love building long-term relationships with our valued clients. Our first point of contact is our multiskilled office manager, Jen Dodd. A native of Lancashire in the UK, Jen has been a Sydneysider since 2010 – and she’s found her niche with VETaround.

Jen’s background includes time as a dog groomer and as head receptionist with Vet HQ, our partner vet practice. She was the face of VET HQ for six years. And now she’s the VETaround ‘voice’.

“I spend most of the time talking to our clients on the phone, and I love being that first point of call. I enjoy getting to know our customers and maintaining good relationships over a long period. While I do miss seeing animals every day, my passion is people, and I feel rewarded being able to help and be the eye or ear or shoulder that clients need.”

For Jen, another major drawcard for VETaround is that it’s a small clinic, making for a far more personalised service.
